Daily Calorie (TDEE) Calculator
Calorie calculator: estimate your daily energy needs (TDEE) using the Mifflin-St Jeor formula, with targets for losing or gaining weight.
Ad space
Knowing your daily calorie needs is the first step of any nutrition plan, whether your goal is to lose, gain, or maintain weight. We use the Mifflin-St Jeor equation, the most accurate formula for basal metabolic rate.
Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between BMR and TDEE?
BMR (basal metabolic rate) is the calories your body burns completely at rest. TDEE (total daily energy expenditure) adds your physical activity on top, and it's the number you use for meal planning.
How many calories should I cut to lose weight?
A deficit of about 500 calories per day roughly translates to losing one pound per week. Avoid dropping below 1,200 calories (women) or 1,500 (men) without medical supervision.
